Transversal competencies in Basic education in Finland

Transversal competencies in basic Finnish education are about knowledge, skills, values, attitudes as well as the will and willingness to act based on these. Transversal competencies provide an integrative element to studies in all subject areas.

This course discusses the conception of learning in the Finnish context and transversal competencies. Also, in addition to the more theoretical discussion, this course explores practical approaches to teaching transversal competencies.
