Job Shadowing
Erasmus+ Job Shadowing
Learn directly from one of the world’s most respected education systems by shadowing experienced Finnish teachers. During your visit, you will observe daily school life, follow classroom practices, and gain practical ideas you can adapt to your own teaching.
This hands-on experience offers a clear, authentic view of how Finnish schools achieve consistently high learning outcomes.
Teacher Job Shadowing
Your program starts with two professionally curated meetings, where Finnish education specialists share their perspectives and classroom expertise. Before the school immersion, you will receive a guided orientation that helps you understand the key features of Finnish pedagogy and local culture.
The main component is a three-day school placement, giving you the opportunity to follow everyday teaching, observe different learning environments, and discuss practices directly with Finnish teachers. It is a meaningful blend of professional dialogue, real-life observation, and practical inspiration.
School Visits
Private School Visits
Our courses go far beyond traditional lectures. You will take part in interactive workshops, visit Finnish schools, and experience local culture—all designed to give you a clear understanding of what makes Finland’s education system so strong. We look forward to welcoming you.
The course fees correspond to typical Erasmus+ KA1 mobility budgets, but Erasmus+ funding is not required. Teachers from all countries, including those outside the EU, are warmly invited to join.
Courses
Teacher Training
Our courses are not just about listening to lecturers; they involve hands-on activities, school visits, and discovering Finnish culture to reveal the secrets of our innovative education system. We hope to meet you soon!
The courses are priced to align with Erasmus+ KA1 mobility grants, but Erasmus+ funding is not mandatory. All teachers, including those from outside the EU, are warmly welcome!
Discounts and customized courses are available for larger groups. Contact info@visitedufinn.com for more information.
Study Tours
Private Study Tours
Study tours are multi-day programs that include visits to several schools or other educational organisations. These tours—also referred to as study visits or technical visits—typically offer discussions, lectures or workshops related to the group’s chosen themes. Each itinerary is planned according to the topics your group wishes to explore.
For Small Groups
If the Open School Visit dates are not suitable for you or you want to visit for instance a kindergarten or a high school, you can book a Private School Visit. It would be exactly the same but you can choose the date between September 1st until December 15th and from January 15th until May 15th.

Tours for Students
Our study tours for students include the opportunity to attend Finnish classrooms with local students, providing an authentic experience of learning like a local. Participants can stay at the school for a few hours, visit different schools, or spend more time at the same school for better interaction with Finnish students and a deeper understanding of the Finnish school experience.
