Student Mobility in Finland
An authentic Finnish school experience for pupils aged 10–18
Do you want to bring your pupils to Finland?
Are you looking for a meaningful and well-organised way to take your pupils abroad?
Our Student Mobility programme in Finland is designed for teachers and schools who want to offer their pupils a safe, inspiring, and educational international experience.
During the visit, pupils experience Finnish school life from the inside — not as observers, but as active participants.
What will your pupils experience during the mobility?
During a five-day programme, your pupils become part of everyday life in a Finnish school. They:
- Join regular lessons with Finnish pupils
- Take part in classroom activities and group work
- Interact with local pupils and teachers
- Experience how learning is organised in Finnish schools
This hands-on approach allows pupils to experience the joy of learning in a supportive environment, make new friends, explore local culture, and develop strong intercultural skills. At the same time, it strengthens self-esteem, curiosity, and group cohesion — creating meaningful memories that last a lifetime.
Two programme options – choose what fits your group best
Option 1: Five days at a Finnish school
Your pupils spend five full days in a host school, fully immersed in Finnish school life.
This option is ideal if your main focus is educational comparison, classroom learning, and peer interaction.
Option 2: Four days at school + one activity day with VisitEDUfinn
This option combines school immersion with a guided experience day organised by VisitEDUfinn.
- 4 days in a Finnish host school
- 1 activity day designed and facilitated by VisitEDUfinn
The activity day is planned according to the season and your pupils’ age and interests.
Examples of activity day options include:
- Sledging or outdoor winter activities
- Forest excursions and nature-based learning
- A visit to a science centre or museum
- Finnish sauna experience, including sauna & ice swimming (age-appropriate and supervised)
This option adds cultural depth and shared experiences beyond the classroom.
